Die wissenschaftliche Politikberatung im Bereich der Technik ist durch Verstndigungsschwierigkeiten zwischen Ingenieuren und Juristen belastet. Als Grnde hierfr erweisen sich weniger die unterschiedlichen Rollenanforderungen als vielmehr die berwiegend entgegengesetzten professionellen Leitbilder von Ingenieuren und Juristen. Aufgrund einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse der wissenschaftlichen Diskurse von Ingenieuren und Juristen ber den Immissionsschutz kann gezeigt werden, da beide Berufsgruppen ein vllig unterschiedliches Verstndnis von ihrer jeweiligen Rolle im Proze der Politikberatung verinnerlicht haben. Trotz der Notwendigkeit einer interdisziplinren Kooperation zwischen technischen und juristischen Experten in der Umweltpolitik erschpfen sich sowohl der technische als auch der rechtliche Diskurs in reiner Selbstreferenz. Als Lsung dieser Kooperationsprobleme wird ein im Studium zu vermittelndes neues Selbstverstndnis der Ingenieur und Rechtswissenschaft auf der Grundlage eines um normative Dimensionen erweiterten Technikverstndnisses diskutiert.
