Es gibt kaum einen Bereich des Lebens, der nicht direkt vom Arbeitsplatz bestimmt wird z.B. Wohnung, Freizeit, Beruf, Entlohnung, Gesundheits und Altersversorgung, Geburtenplanung, Kindergarten, Kriminalitt. Ein Chinese bleibt sein Leben lang Mitglied einer Danwei. Er kann sein Danwei wechseln, er kann aber nie aus diesem Organisationsschema ausbrechen. Er ist und bleibt immer gegenber einer Danwei verantwortlich. Ein Leben ohne Danwei oder auerhalb der Danwei ist fr Chinesen unvorstellbar."
