Es wird dargestellt, dass Schopenhauers Philosophie der Versuch ist, die Mglichkeit einer AnsichErkenntnis im Anschluss an die Philosophie Kants nachzuweisen. Die Arbeit zeigt, in welcher Weise Schopenhauer den Nachweis vornimmt, und unterzieht die von ihm aufgezeigten Lsungswege einer eingehenden Kritik. In der Arbeit werden auch die Lsungswege untersucht, die Schopenhauer vor der Abfassung seines Hauptwerks eingeschlagen hat und die sich aus Manuskriptblttern des Nachlasses erschliessen lassen. Das Ergebnis der Untersuchung ist, dass es Schopenhauer nicht gelingt, eine von dem subjektiven Erkenntnisvermgen unabhngige AnsichErkenntnis nachzuweisen.ReviewDas Buch setzt sich intensiv mit den Kernproblemen der Schopenhauerschen Erkenntnistheorie auseinander. Dabei werden die frhen Manuskripte und die erste Auflage der Dissertation unter systematischen Gesichtspunkten mit dem Hauptwerk Schopenhauers in Verbindung gebracht. Diese Kombination von systematischem und entwicklungsgeschichtlichem Aspekt macht die Arbeit in besonderem Mae lesenswert, denn dadurch wird der Leser immer tiefer in die verzwickte erkenntnistheoretische Problematik der Schopenhauerschen Philosophie eingefhrt.
