Zahlreiche HerzkreislaufErkrankungen und auch Lungenkrebs stehen im Verdacht, durch Feinstaub ausgelst zu werden. Zur Eindmmung des Problems wurden daher in zahlreichen deutschen Stdten im letzten Jahr Umweltzonen eingerichtet, die nur mit einer sogenannten Feinstaubplakette zu passieren sind. Dies ist ein Indikator dafr, dass die Gefahren, die von Feinstaub ausgehen, bereits in der Politik und somit in der breiten ffentlichkeit angekommen sind. Um die Gefahren, die von Feinstaub ausgehen, darzustellen und einen berblick zu verschaffen, was Feinstaub berhaupt ist, wurde diese Arbeit verfasst. Hierbei soll zunchst der Begriff Feinstaub definiert werden. Anschlieend wird aufgezeigt, auf welche Weisen Feinstaub durch die Natur oder den Menschen entstehen kann. Daraufhin wird erlutert, welche Gefahren durch Feinstaub fr den Menschen und die Umwelt entstehen knnen. Abschlieend wird darauf eingegangen, wie Feinstaub gemessen werden kann und welche gesetzlichen Vorschriften und Grenzwerte vorliegen. Zum Schluss soll darauf eingegangen werden, mit welcher Messtechnik deren Einhaltung nachgeprft werden kann.
