So findet sich im europischen Kollisionsrecht heute bereits fr die meisten Rechtsmaterien eine entsprechende Verordnung oder zumindest ein Verordnungsvorschlag. Dabei wurden die Allgemeinen Lehren des Internationalen Privatrechts bisher eher vernachlssigt. So gibt es in besagten Verordnungen zwar einzelne Regelungen; jedoch gibt es bisher noch keine Rom 0VO' zum Allgemeinen Teil des Internationalen Privatrechts im europischen Kollisionsrecht und auch noch keine konkreten Plne zu einer derartigen Kodifikation. Allerdings erfordert die sich stets erhhende Mobilitt der Brger im europischen Rechtsraum und die damit verbundene Zunahme an grenzberschreitenden Rechtsverhltnissen auch eine zu mehr Rechtssicherheit fhrende einheitliche Anwendung der Allgemeinen Lehren des Internationalen Privatrechts auf unionsrechtlicher Ebene. Die Ermittlung des anwendbaren Rechts bei der Verweisung auf Mehrrechtsstaaten gehrt zu den klassischen Fragestellungen im Allgemeinen Teil des Internationalen Privatrechts. Die Relevanz dieses Problems kommt nicht zuletzt dadurch zum Ausdruck, dass sich entsprechende Regelungen nicht nur in den meisten nationalen Rechtsordnungen der europischen Mitgliedstaaten, sondern auch in der staatsvertraglichen Praxis und im europischen Kollisionsrecht finden. Gerade in der staatsvertraglichen Praxis und im europischen Kollisionsrecht lassen sich in jngster Vergangenheit Entwicklungen erkennen, die zu immer differenzierteren Bestimmungen in den einzelnen Regelungswerken fhren.
