About the Author Jennifer Altmann wurde 1980 im Schaumburger Land geboren und studierte DiplomSozialwissenschaften an der Leibniz Universitt Hannover mit den Schwerpunkten Gender Studies und Sozialstaat. Um ihre Qualifikationen auch praktisch weiter auszubauen engagierte sich die Autorin whrend der gesamten Studienzeit in diversen Redaktionen des hannoverschen Brgerfunks. Neben dem Studium arbeitete sie als studentische, wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft bei der Vernetzungsstelle fr Gleichberechtigung, Frauenbeauftragte und Gleichstellungsbeauftragte. Hier vertiefte sie ihre Kenntnisse des Gender Mainstreamings und erweiterte ihr fachliches Wissen um tagespolitische Aspekte. Bei dieser Ttigkeit entwickelte sich die Fragestellung, welche Jennifer Altmann in der vorliegenden Studie behandelt.
