Die vorliegende Untersuchung leistet dagegen eine ausfhrliche Auseinandersetzung mit den Zielen und Standpunkten der Zeitschrift sowie eine differenzierte Analyse ihres Naturalismusbegriffs in Zusammenhang mit den weltanschaulichen und politischen Positionen ihrer wichtigsten Mitarbeiter. Beispiele fr die Aufnahme fiktionaler Texte, die Darstellung der Entwicklung der Zeitschrift und die Einordnung der gefundenen Standpunkte in einen gesamtgesellschaftlichen Rahmen vervollstndigen die Untersuchung, die somit auch ein Beitrag zur Analyse der nicht nur literarischen Intelligenz, im 19. Jahrhundert ist.
