Weit weniger bekannt ist jedoch die urheberrechtliche Problematik, die unter anderem auch hinter dem Markenzeichen der Tageschau seit Jahrzehnten die Gemter von Gerichten und Literatur beschftigt. Diese wird mit dem Begriff der 'kleinen Mnze' bedacht. Es ist nicht zu leugnen, dass diesem eine gewisse Unscheinbarkeit anlastet. Die 'kleine Mnze' auf Anhieb dem Urheberrecht zuzuordnen, geschweige denn ihre Bedeutung und Tragweite augenblicklich zu erfassen, drfte nicht nur dem Laien zunchst schwer fallen. Trotz ihres augenscheinlichen Daseins im Randbereich des Urheberrechts ist die Rechtsfigur der 'kleinen Mnze' von auerordentlicher wirtschaftlicher und rechtlicher Bedeutung in einem Zeitalter unterschiedlichster technischer Bearbeitungs und Vervielfltigungsmglichkeiten. Gerade in den urheberrechtsgeschichtlich vergleichsweise jungen Themengebieten von Film, Fernsehen und Musik und deren zunehmende Position als Massenmedien erscheint die 'kleine Mnze' ein unerlssliches Abgrenzungsmittel zwischen urheberrechtlich banalem und gerade noch schtzenswerter Materie, nicht zuletzt im Hinblick auf die dort anzutreffenden finanziellen Grenordnungen.
