Den Fragen nach der Beschaffenheit des Komischen geht diese Studie anhand der Analyse von Wilhelm Buschs KnoppTrilogie nach. Hierzu wird im ersten Teil der Untersuchung zunchst ein historischer berblick ber diverse Komiktheorien geboten. Da die Komposition aus Bild und Text ein elementares Merkmal der Trilogie darstellt, steht zu Beginn der Analyse der KnoppTrilogie die Frage nach dem Zusammenwirken beider Darstellungsarten. Sie generieren eine dem Theater hnliche Atmosphre, die sowohl der Bildproduktion als auch dem Sprachstil des Erzhlers geschuldet ist. Mit einem Blick auf einzelne Szenen werden nun die verschiedenen Funktionsweisen des Komischen analysiert. Dabei wird den oben genannten Fragen unter Zuhilfenahme der im historischen berblick herausgestellten Theorien nachgegangen. About the Author Petra Brning, M.A. wurde 1968 in Ibbenbren geboren. Ihr Studium der Literaturwissenschaft, Geschichte und Psychologie an der FernUniversitt in Hagen schloss sie 2012 mit dem akademischen Grad der Magistra Artium erfolgreich ab. Ihr Interessenschwerpunkt liegt in der vergleichenden Untersuchung verschiedener Funktionsweisen von Texten, Zeichnungen und Filmen. Zustzlich widmet sie sich dem kreativen Schreiben und dem Illustrieren. Sie ist als Dozentin und Autorin ttig.
