Product DescriptionDer groen Wirkungsbreite des 'Vollkommenen Capellmeisters' (1739) von Johann Mattheson steht eine merkliche Verhaltenheit der systematischen wissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Werk zumal in der deutschen Musikwissenschaft gegenber: Die systematische Rekonstruktion dieses Hauptwerkes des Hamburger Universalgelehrten fehlt ebenso wie eine angemessene historische Verortung. Die vorliegende Arbeit will einen Versuch in dieser Richtung unternehmen: In der Konzentration auf den Aspekt der Melodielehre soll hier eine Fragestellung aufgegriffen werden, die zum zentral Neuartigen von Matthesons Musikkonzeption gehrt und die in vielfacher Wechselwirkung mit anderen Grundfragen des Musikdenkens im 18. Seit 1997 lehrt er die Fcher Musiktheorie, Komposition und Improvisation an der Hochschule fr Musik und Theater Rostock, auerdem Tonsatz, Partitur und Generalbaspiel am Institut fr Kirchenmusik und Musikwissenschaft der ErnstMoritzArndtUniversitt Greifswald und Analyse an der Hochschule fr Knste Bremen. Mehrere Preise und Auszeichnungen, so der Europische Kompositionspreis der Terminbrse Amsterdam, der Kunstpreis Cloppenburg und der Kulturpreis Ostholstein. Die Musik und Kongrehalle Lbeck wurde 1994 mit der Urauffhrung des Orchesterstckes 'Singbarer Rest' erffnet.
