Product Description Die in dieser Arbeit analysierten Orchesterwerke des tschechischen Komponisten Petr Eben entstanden zwischen 1953 und 1995. Die Basis fr die Analysen bilden die Eingangskapitel, die sich mit der Biographie und den signifikanten Merkmalen im Kompositionsstil Ebens beschftigen. Danach wird auf Intention und Botschaft des Komponisten eingegangen, wozu Begriffe und Erklrungsmodelle der Semiotik herangezogen werden. Die anschlieenden Analysen der Orchesterwerke untersuchen formale Aspekte, die Struktur sowie Satz und Instrumentationstechniken. Auerdem wird der zeichenhafte Charakter der Werke aufgeschlsselt und in Abhngigkeit biographischer und historischer Ereignisse dargestellt. Der Anhang der Arbeit bietet eine Auswahl von Presserezensionen zu Auffhrungen der Werke. About the Author Der Autor: Stefan Daubner, geboren 1972 in Bayreuth, Studium der Schulmusik, Musikwissenschaft und Kirchenmusik in Wrzburg. Doktoratsstipendium des DAAD, Promotion an der Universitt Wien 2001. Seit 2001 ttig als Musiklehrer am Gymnasium.
