Heinrichs Vater Gustav wird als Sohn des Klavierbaufabrikanten Wilhelm Neuhaus in Kalkar geboren und wandert 1870 nach Russland aus. Die Pianofortefabrik W. Neuhaus Shne Calcar" beschreibt erstmalig die Chronik der Klavierbauer Neuhaus vom Beginn 1840 bis zum Einstellen des Betriebs 1919. Briefe in die Heimat" bieten einen kleinen Einblick in die Lebenssituation des ausgewanderten Familienzweiges in den schwierigen 1920er/30erJahren.
