Die Beurteilung respektive Objektivierung neuer Heilverfahren vor allem in der Chirurgie hat einem besonderen 'Anforderungsprofil' zu gengen. Die Studie von Claude Muller und Sebastiano Martinoli drfte diesem Profil weitgehend entsprechen, so da der Kliniker neugierig die Resultate und der an Statistiken medizinischer Richtung Interessierte kri tisch die Methodik studieren wird. Prospektiv sollte eine solche Studie sein die vorliegende Arbeit berblickt die Fnfjahresresultate; vom Patientengut her lt sich sogar eine Ergn zung durch die Zehnjahresresultate erhoffen. Die Studie ist multizentrisch, umfat sie doch acht chirurgische Abteilungen mit akademischen Lehrverpflichtungen; sie ist grenzbergreifend fnf deutsche, eine franzsische und zwei schweizerische Universittskliniken respektive akademische Krankenhuser haben teilgenommen. An den Operationen dieser Studie sind 89 verschiedene Chirurgen , zum groen Teil noch in der Ausbildung begriffen beteiligt, so da die Res tate reproduzierbar erscheinen. . Soweit die klinischen Resultate nicht durch Zahlen objektivierbar sind, wurden sie nicht vom Chirurgen, sondern vom gastroenterologischen Inter nisten beurteilt.
