In den letzten zwanzig Jahren jedoch erschienen Berichte tiber groBange1egte, syste matische Untersudmngen tiber die Psychopathologie der meisten endokrinen Erkran kungen in rasmer Folge. Die vorliegende Arbeit von PETERSEN schlieBt eine der letzten Lticken: sie beschaftigt sich mit einer endokrinen Krankheit, dem Hyperpara thyreoidismus, die bisher nur selten diagnostiziert und deren Bedeutung spat erkannt worden ist. GewiB ist mit der Monographie von PETERSEN die InventarAufnahme aller psychischen Erscheinungen bei allen endokrin Kranken noch nicht abgeschlossen, wohl aber dem AbsmluB erheblich naher gebracht. Die Kenntnis der Psychopathologie endokrin Kranker bildet eine wichtige Erganzung der Kenntnisse tiber die korper lichen Erscheinungen dieser Erkrankungen. Sie hilft bei der Diagnose und Prognose.
