Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Pdagogik Geschichte der Pdagogik, Note: 1,3, Freie Universitt Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Petersen deutet die Welt und die Erziehung vor allem aus seiner christlichen Verwurzelung heraus. Der Mensch bedarf vor allem deshalb der Erziehung weil er aus der Natur herausgefallen ist. Erziehung vollzieht sich primr funktional, das heit nicht durch absichtsvolle Planung, sondern durch "die gesamte den Menschen umgebende Wirklichkeit" . Die absichtsvolle Erziehung ist ein Teilbereich der Erziehung, die nach Petersen auf Bildung abzielt und nur handlungsorientiert zum Erfolg fhren kann. Aufgrund seines biographischen Hintergrundes und reformpdagogischer Erziehungsauffassungen berhht Petersen die Gemeinschaftsidee. In der Dorfgemeinschaft, in der Petersen aufwuchs und durch seine christliche Auffassung lernte er, dass der Einzelne eine Verpflichtung zum Dienst am anderen Menschen hat. In der Diskussion um das Verhltnis zwischen Individuum und Gemeinschaft hebt Petersen deutlich den Wert der Gemeinschaft hervor. Petersens Menschenbild ist die Grundlage seiner pdagogischen Konzeption. Diese ist nicht ohne Weiters auf die heutige Regelschule bertragbar.
