Interessanterweise mchte ich in dieser linguistischen Untersuchung einmal etwas behandeln, das durch bloe Abwesenheit glnzt. Mit diesem ganz eigenen Untersuchungsgegenstand rekurriere ich auf nichts Geringeres als auf das facettenreiche linguistische Phnomen, das der deutsche Sprachpsychologe und theoretiker Karl Bhler symptomatisch als die 'zweimal tausendjhrige Ellipsenplage' charakterisiert hat. Mit dieser viel zitierten Sentenz verweist Bhler darauf, dass das sprachliche Phnomen der 'Ellipse' und die aus ihr resultierenden 'fragmentarischen uerungen' eine lange Forschungstradition aufweisen und in der aktuellen linguistischen Grundlagendiskussion eine exponierte Stellung einnehmen. In seinen sprachtheoretischen berlegungen kritisiert Bhler die ursprngliche Geringschtzung knapper Ausdrucksformate und befrwortet die 'Hochkultur des Elliptischen', die in der gesprochenen und sekundr auch in der geschriebenen Sprache vorherrscht: 'Solch lautarmer Verkehr darf nicht summarisch und fr alle Umstnde als armseliges, primitives, unvollendetes Sprechen gekennzeichnet werden. Denn das wre genau so falsch, wie wenn man z.B. den bargeldlosen und bargeldarmen Gterverkehr summarisch als den Ausdruck einer primitiven und unvollkommenen Wirtschaftsordnung betrachten wollte.
