Ein gngiges Schlagwort in der gegenwrtigen politkonomischen Diskussion ist Controlling im neuen ffentlichen Rechnungswesen1. Diese Arbeit setzt sich kritisch mit der Thematik Die Rolle des Controlling im neuen ffentlichen Rechnungswesen' auseinander, indem in Kapitel zwei zunchst das Verwaltungscontrolling sowie dessen Instrumente vorgestellt werden. In Kapitel drei wird die Kameralistik und insbesondere deren Schwchen betrachtet, aus denen der Vernderungsbedarf, ebenso wie die Anforderungen an das neue ffentliche Rechnungswesen abgeleitet werden, welche ihrerseits zwingend zum System der Doppik fhren. In Kapitel vier findet eine logische berleitung aus der Doppik zu ffentlichem Controlling statt. In diesem Zusammenhang wird zum einen der Nutzen des Controlling in der ffentlichen Verwaltung analysiert, zum anderen ein mglicher Weg zu einem wirkungsvollen Verwaltungscontrolling dargestellt und ergnzend die Relevanz des Berichtswesen und der Kennzahlen hinterfragt.
