Oftmals wird die Siemens AG als Vorreiter der Integrationsbewegung genannt, dessen Fhrung ein internes Kontrollsystem fr obsolet empfand und die externen Vorgaben als hinreichendes Steuerungsinstrument nutzte. Der Full Management Approach stellt den Abschlussadressaten in den Vordergrund und orientiert sich an dessen Bedrfnissen. Dieser soll einen Nutzen aus den Informationen des Segmentberichtes fr seine Investitionsentscheidungen ziehen knnen. Auf den ersten Blick scheint die Verwendung der internen Daten fr die externen Informationszwecke durchaus sinnvoll, jedoch begrndet eine solche Systematik zugleich einen umfangreichen Fragenkatalog. Inwiefern die Informationen eines solchen Segmentberichtes berhaupt verstndlich sind, und ob diese den Informationsbedrfnissen generell entsprechen, bleibt offen. Zudem sind IFRSRegelungen przise zu untersuchen, um potentielle Schwachstellen aufzudecken. Ebenso ist zu klren, ob die Unternehmensfhrung die Informationen wahrheitsgetreu wiedergibt, und wieweit ein manipulativer Spielraum vorhanden ist und verhindert werden kann. Insbesondere bleiben jedoch Fragen zu einem konsequent einheitlichen Rechnungswesen offen. Daher ist zu prfen, ob sich die Steuerungsmethoden eines Unternehmens mit den Informationsbedrfnissen smtlicher Stakeholder einer Segmentberichterstattung decken, und welche Hemmnisse fr eine vollkommene berschneidung der Rechnungswesenszwecke bestehen. Ferner ist zu klren, inwiefern sich die theoretischen Erkenntnisse in der Praxis berprfen lassen, und ob eine Diskrepanzmit anderen Rechnungszwecken oder einzelnen IFRSRegelungen vorliegt.
