Die Geschichte des Teufelspakts erhebt das Diabolische zum Grundungsmoment und Fluchtpunkt literarischer Sprache. Ausgehend von einem besonderen Sprachzeichen, dem 'Diabol', entfaltet sich das Bose zum Regulativ eines Textes. Der Teufel als rhetorische Figur setzt eine umfassende "Diabolisierung" des literarischen Textes in Gang, die in die Ordnungsphantasie eines totalitaren Systems mundet.
