Der im Sommer auftretende Wrmeinseleffekt hat schon heute Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit der Wohnbevlkerung in der Stadt. Die projizierten Klimavernderungen werden diese Situation verschrfen und sind aufgrund der Trgheit des Klimasystems nicht mehr aufzuhalten. Eine Anpassung an den Klimawandel wird erforderlich. Anpassung, als zweite mgliche Strategie der Klimapolitik, wird allerdings bislang nicht so konsequent verfolgt wie der Klimaschutz. Im Themenfeld der sozialen Dimension des Klimawandels ist zu bedenken, dass die soziale Lage die Wohnsituation und somit auch die Umweltbelastungen sowie die Gesundheit beeinflussen kann. Es kann durch den Klimawandel sogar zu einer Vergrerung von Ungerechtigkeiten kommen: sozial Schwache knnen zu gesundheitsgefhrdeten Risikogruppen gegenber Hitze werden. Der Handlungsbedarf zur Anpassung an den Klimawandel knnte damit in sozial benachteiligten Quartieren steigen. Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit befasst sich mit dem Zusammenhang dieser verschiedenen Aspekte, fhrt eine kleinrumige Analyse durch und zeigt einen Weg auf, wie vor diesem Hintergrund das Thema der kommunalen Klimaanpassung in die Planungspraxis integriert werden kann.
