Im Zuge der Suche nach der grundstzlichen Storichtung eines Unternehmens kann dabei auf mehrere Analyseinstrumente zurckgegriffen werden. Als eines dieser Instrumente liefert die SWOTAnalyse Informationen darber, wie sich ein Unternehmen positionieren kann, um in Zukunft wettbewerbsfhig zu sein und effektiv auf Einflsse zu reagieren. Hierfr wird eine Betrachtung sowohl der Unternehmensumwelt als auch des Unternehmens selbst durchgefhrt. Die gewonnenen Daten beider Analysen werden miteinander kombiniert. Aus den Ergebnissen lassen sich Ziele, Strategien und Manahmen ermitteln, welche ein Unternehmen erreichen kann und verfolgen sollte. Aufgrund dieser informationsgewinnender und informationsverdichtender Wirkung ist die SWOTAnalyse ein Instrument der Unternehmensfhrung, welches nicht nur fr ein bestehendes Unternehmen, sondern auch fr ein Unternehmen, das sich im Grndungsprozess befindet geeignet ist. In dieser Seminararbeit wird die SWOTAnalyse als ein Analyseinstrument des strategischen Managements beschrieben.
