Demnach entspricht dem amerikanischen Begriff des Shareholders im Deutschen wohl am ehesten die Bezeichnung des Anteilseigners. Ein Anteilseigner hlt einen bestimmten Anteil am Eigenkapital einer Unternehmung. Durch die Beteiligung wird ein (Teil) Eigentumsrecht an der Unternehmung zum Ausdruck gebracht."(1) 'Shareholder Value' kann mit dem Begriff Aktionrswert' (oder besser: Wert fr die Anteilseigner') ins Deutsche bersetzt werden. Der Shareholder Value ist somit der Wert, den eine Unternehmung aus der Sicht ihrer Anteilseigner, im Fall von Aktiengesellschaften also der Aktionre, besitzt. Dieser Wert soll die Fhigkeit der Unternehmung zum Ausdruck bringen, in Zukunft die Ansprche der Eigentmer zufriedenzustellen und damit fr die Anteilseigner Nutzen zu schaffen. Wert kann in diesem Sinne nur dann geschaffen werden, wenn den Nutzenerwartungen der Eigentmer der Unternehmung wenigstens entsprochen wird. Somit wird der Nutzen der Anteilseigner zum zentralen Wertmastab fr die Unternehmensfhrung, an dem sich dann folgerichtig auch die Unternehmensbewertung auszurichten hat."(2) Der Shareholder ValueAnsatz, der ursprnglich aus den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika kommt, ist ein Instrument der strategischen Unternehmensbewertung.
