Dieser Versuch, so wie ihn uns der Evangelist Lukas in Lk 4,113 schildert, gelingt. Dadurch wird Jesus sowohl zum toratreuen Juden, der die von Israel begangenen Fehler der Vergangenheit nicht wiederholen will, als auch zum ermahnenden und lehrenden Sohn Gottes stilisiert, der der Nachwelt aufzuzeigen will, wie die Versuchung ursprnglich in die Welt kam und wie sie zu therapieren ist.
