Chr.) erschien wohl Germanien nicht als ein ideales Gebiet fr Landwirtschaft. Ob dies nun als eine Kritik am Krieg gegen die Germanen zu verstehen ist, soll nicht Gegenstand dieser Arbeit sein. Vielmehr ist interessant, wie sich Landgter (Villae Rusticae) zwischen rmischer Politik und germanischer Topografie entwickelten und unter welchen Einflssen sie welchen Problemen ausgesetzt waren.
