Unfamiliar with DA? Written in their simple and user friendly style, as only Curren and Munday can write, Dimensional Analysis for Meds has eliminated the confusing terminology and means by which this calculation method has been taught in recent years in nursing and allied health. Dimensional analysis (DA) is actually just a variation of ration and proportion, which reduces multiple step calculations to a single, unforgettable, easy to solve equation. Hundreds of color photographs, examples and problems reinforce the step by step self learning process presented in this exceptional text.Dimensional Analysis for Meds is truly unique. No other compares in simplicity, student participation, and reality testing. The authors have also prepared an excellent Instructor Tutorial, which is guaranteed to teach DA in just 15 minutes to those unfamiliar with this approach. Fifteen minutes which will save countless hours of frustration in student teaching and learning, and provide a degree of safety in calculations heretofore unavailable in basic student instruction. Included with the Instructor Tutorial are complete Instructor Guidelines which the authors have prepared for as a guide to chapter assignments, as well as short reproducible tests which provide virtual clinical reality by using actual life sized drug labels and syringe photographs with the dosage orders to be calculated and measured.

I found the content of the book helpful, especially the dimensional analysis section. However, I was hoping for more practice problems. It’s decent for med calculations but could use a bit more depth.

Disappointing Quality for the Price
Unfortunately, the book arrived with a few bent pages which made it hard to use. While the content is good, the delivery could be better. I expected more for the price I paid.

Great for Quick Refresher
I bought this for my daughter who’s in pharmacy school. She says it's great for quick reference, especially with the examples provided. The format is easy to follow, but some sections felt a bit rushed.
