Erst seit Mitte der 1980er Jahre ermglicht die disjunktive Konzeption perzeptueller Erfahrung ein alternatives Verstndnis unseres Weltbezugs. Unter Verzicht auf einige Cartesianische Vorurteile lsst sich die These der direkten Wahrnehmung gegen die notorischen Tuschungsargumente verteidigen. Im vorliegenden Buch unternimmt es Hannes Ole Matthiessen, die These vom direkten Weltbezug vom klassischen visuellen Fall auf die vier brigen Sinnesmodalitten zu bertragen. Dazu wird zunchst der Sinnesbegriff einer Untersuchung unterzogen, die in der These mndet, dass unser Begriff der fnf Sinne ein auf biologischen Gegebenheiten basierender, aber letztlich aus pragmatischen Gesichtspunkten (also im Hinblick auf Praxisrelevanz der Unterscheidung) eingebrgerter ist. Die sukzessive Anwendung der These der direkten Wahrnehmung auf Gesicht, Gehr, Geruch, Geschmack und Getast stt an vielen Stellen an die Grenzen des in der Wahrnehmungsphilosophie Selbstverstndlichen. Im Ergebnis wird ein Problem fr die These der direkten Wahrnehmung formuliert, das sich aus dem ihr impliziten demonstrativen Phnomenalismus ergibt. About the Author Hannes Ole Matthiessen (Jahrgang 1979) studierte Philosophie und Kulturanthropologie in Berlin (HumboldtUniversitt), Moskau (Staatliche LomonosovUniversitt) und Frankfurt am Main (GoetheUniversitt). Er arbeitet an einer Dissertation ber epistemische Rechtfertigung durch Wahrnehmung.
