En esta tesis doctoral se propone una metodologa para la creacin de mapas de peligros naturales en la provincia de Gipuzkoa. La metodologa contempla los tres peligros naturales ms habituales en dicho territorio: inundaciones fluviales, incendios forestales y movimientos de ladera. El peligro de movimientos de ladera es evaluado mediante un modelo cualitativo. El peligro de incendios se obtiene a partir de simulaciones mltiples sobre la base de escenarios y situaciones de peligro. Finalmente, aplicando un modelo hidrometeorolgico seguido de uno hidrulico, se calcula el peligro de inundacin fluvial. Adems, se combinan, de manera ponderada, los mapas derivados de los tres peligros considerados, obtenindose un mapa de peligro natural mltiple. Dicha metodologa ha sido aplicada en una zona concreta de Gipuzkoa: el valle de Oiartzun.
