Debido al crecimiento industrial de subsectores que forman parte de la industria textil, como la industrias de Lavandera en Bolivia y la escasez de combustibles, se requiere la construccin de nuevos equipos industriales, en donde se optimice el consumo energtico de combustible y ofrezca mayores ventajas. Actualmente ya es posible fabricar estos equipos para satisfacer las exigencias de esta industria, debido a que ya se cuenta con la tecnologa necesaria en nuestro medio. Este libro presenta un modelo de secador que ofrece reducir el consumo de combustible y el tiempo del proceso,para ello se hace un anlisis de la operacin de secado, clculos, diseos y dimensionamiento, en particularidad para prendas de Jeans, para una capacidad de 60 kg. El secado de prendas se realiza en un Secador Rotativo, este posee un tambor que gira horizontalmente, donde se deposita la ropa, al tambor se aplica un flujo de calor(aire caliente), este flujo extrae la humedad en exceso de la ropa, el calor es producto de la combustin del gas natural y el aire atmosfrico. El aire caliente que sale del secador se utiliza nuevamente en el equipo para aumentar su rendimiento trmico.
