Se presenta la metodologa del clculo para los espesores de la puerta y muros de una sala de radioterapia para un acelerador lineal de 18 MV siguiendo las recomendaciones del reporte 151 de la NCRP. Adems, mediante mtodos Monte Carlo con el cdigo MCNP5, se determinan los espectros neutrnicos y los valores del equivalente de dosis ambiental en diferentes puntos dentro y fuera del bnker para evaluar las caractersticas del blindaje en los muros y puerta. Tambin en el anlisis Monte Carlo, el cabezal del acelerador es modelado como una esfera de Tungsteno de 10 cm. de espesor, en cuyo centro se ubica una fuente puntual de fotoneutrones calculada a partir de la ecuacin de Tosi. Los resultados muestran que los espesores calculados en muros y puerta son suficientes para atenuar el espectro neutrnico producido a lmites permitidos por las regulaciones.
