Er schrieb unter anderem zahlreiche Casuallyrik fr spezielle Anlsse, wie zum Beispiel Geburts oder Namenstage, Begrbnisse oder auch Hochzeiten. Die Zeit des Dreiigjhrigen Krieges, in der Fleming lebte, seine Freundschaft mit anderen Studenten, vor allem aber auch seine Russlandreise und besonders die Beziehungen zu Elsabe und Anna Niehus beschftigten Fleming und lieferten unter anderem Stoff fr seine Kriegs, Freundschafts, Reise und Liebeslyrik, wobei die Literaturgeschichtsschreibung letztere als das Zentrum seines poetischen Werkes ansieht. In der hier vorliegenden Arbeit mchte ich anhand der Interpretation der beiden Liebesoden Eine hab' ich mir erwhlet ...' und Auerwhlte nach der einen ...' Charakteristika der Liebeslyrik Flemings herausarbeiten, die Beispiele in das Gesamtwerk seiner Liebeslyrik einordnen, deren beeindruckende Diversitt ich durch zahlreiche weitere Beispiele aus seinem Werk belegen mchte. Darber hinaus werde ich darauf eingehen, inwieweit die Liebeslyrik Flemings und insbesondere die beiden Gedichte fr Leser auch heute noch von Bedeutung sein sollten oder knnten, frei nach Flemings Ankndigung Man wird mich nennen hren, ...'.
