This book contains thirty stories an equal number by women and men by atheists and agnostics who tell us what it was like, what happened and what its like now as they made their way to a life of longterm sobriety within the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous. Storytelling is the essence of AA. It is in sharing our experience, strength and hope in recovery that we are able to help others within our Fellowship. The diversity and richness of the stories contained in Do Tell! will no doubt be an inspiration and provide important support to nonbelievers within the often overlyreligious fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.

I was hoping for a more cohesive narrative, but many stories felt disconnected. While some were quite impactful, others didn’t quite hit home for me. Maybe it’s just my preference; still, it didn’t meet my expectations fully.

Thought-Provoking Perspectives
I picked up 'Do Tell: Stories by Atheists and Agnostics in AA' and wasn't expecting to find such deep reflections. The stories are incredibly relatable for anyone who’s faced addiction. It’s a great read for understanding different perspectives on recovery.

Delightful Yet Disjointed
Some of the stories in this book are amazing, while others leave you wanting more depth. It’s a bit hit or miss, but I appreciate the attempt to include alternative viewpoints in AA literature. It's a good conversation starter, if nothing else.

Good Insights, Some Stories Missed the Mark
This collection has some really powerful narratives, but a few of the stories didn't resonate with me as much. Still, it's interesting to see how atheism and agnosticism fit into the AA framework. Worth a read if you’re open to diverse views.

An Eye-Opener for Those in AA
I bought this book for my book club, and it sparked some of the best discussions we’ve had! The stories provide much-needed insight into the struggles of non-believers in recovery. Everyone has a unique journey, and this book highlights that beautifully.
