About the Author Nel Verhoeven is a member of the Academic Core of the Roosevelt Academy of Utrecht University at Middelburg, Netherlands. After earning her PhD, where she focused on student and educational factors and their effect on course outcomes, she founded her own research agency in 1998. She has conducted a large number of research projects for contractors in governmental and nonprofit organizations and has also developed and taught courses in research methods and statistics for colleges and universities, with a special interest in innovative teaching and learning methods.
