Every day, I have lived through the massacre. While our country may forget this history, I cannot. Viola Ford FletcherViola Ford Fletchers memoir Dont Let Them Bury My Story vividly recounts the lasting impact of the Tulsa Massacre on her life. As the oldest survivor and last living witness of the tragic events that unfolded in 1921, she shares her testimony with poignant clarity. From the terror of her childhood as a sevenyearold fleeing the burning streets of Greenwood to her current role as a 109yearold family matriarch seeking justice for the affected families, Mother Fletcher takes us on a journey through a lifetime of pain and perseverance. Her inspiring story is a powerful reminder that some wounds never fully heal, and we must never forget the lessons of our history.

This book is incredibly well-written, but the material is pretty heavy. Reading about the oldest living survivor's experiences during the Tulsa Race Massacre really hit me. I appreciate the depth of emotion and detail, but it’s not light reading—take your time with it.

Disappointed with the Quality
I wanted to love this book, but mine arrived with some pages damaged. The narrative is important, but the physical book quality was a letdown. I hope to get a replacement, since the story itself deserves better!

Good Insights, but Formatting Issues
I found 'Don't Let Them Bury My Story' insightful, especially the survivor's voice. But I struggled with the formatting; it felt a bit off in some sections. Still, the story is vital and worth sharing, so I’m glad I bought it.
