Dieses Theaterstck wurde als Auftragsarbeit fr Weimar als Kulturstadt Europas 1999 geschrieben, um dort Geschichte und Mentalitt des deutschen Gastgebers zu prsentieren. Daher spielt sich die dramatische Handlung diesseits und jenseits des vormals Eisernen Vorhangs in Bergtal und Talberg, zwei mitteldeutschen Kleinstdten, ab, deren althergebrachte Rivalitt jetzt nach dem Fall der Mauer wieder neu entflammt ist. Die szenische und musikalische Aufbereitung dreier toller Tage (am 9., 10. und 11. November) ermglicht einen berraschend reprsentativen Querschnitt durch die deutsche Geschichte mit ihren bedenkenswertesten Tief und Hhepunkten. Die Wettbewerbssituation zweier Kleinstdte garantiert berdies die Komik des Deutschen Michel mit Vereinsmeierei und Gartenzwergen. Ein vergngliches nationales Selbstportrt mit deutschen Gesangvereinen: auch gut lesbar (und singbar: Noten im Anhang)!
