Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 1994 im Fachbereich Philosophie Theoretische (Erkenntnis, Wissenschaft, Logik, Sprache), Note: cum laude, Universitt Basel (Philosophisches Seminar), 80 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Schopenhauers Philosophie beinhaltet nicht ein "System von Gedanken"(WW I/1, 7), bei welchem jeder einzelne aus dem vorherigen folgt und jeder vorherige die Grundlage des nchsten bildet, sondern vielmehr "ein[en] einzige[n] Gedanke[n]"(Ebd.): "Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung". Dieser "eine Gedanke" lsst sich nicht nach dem Vorbild der Naturwissenschaften mathematisch exakt beweisen, so dass er als Ergebnis die lineare Folge aus den Grundlagen eines Systems darstellt. Seine Explikation bedarf vielmehr einer gnzlich eigenstndigen Darlegung. Es handelt sich dabei, so Schopenhauer, um eine hier "zuerst versuchte, von allen bisherigen vllig abweichende Methode des Philosophirens"(WW I/1, 10).
