Contrairement la majorit des auteurs, il pense dailleurs que mme dun point de vue didactique, cette prsentation en familles nest plus convaincante. Il lui est donc apparu prfrable de privilgier un ordre globalement chronologique. titre dexemple et contrairement la majorit des autres manuels de droit compar, le droit italien est envisag aprs le droit allemand. Le codice civile de 1942 a en effet subi linfluence du droit allemand aprs avoir subi linfluence napolonienne.
