In Hindi Literature, Alok DhanwaS Poetry And Poetic Personality Are A Remarkable, Continuous Phenomenon. He Has Been Writing Poetry For Over A Quarter Century, But With Considerable Hesitation And Self-Doubt, He Has Now Accepted The Publication Of His First Collection, And Even This One Is Free Of Creative Inflation. While Many Senior And Younger Hindi Poets Are Overly Prolific And Masters Of The Book, Alok DhanwaS Restraint Is Nothing Short Of A Rigorous Austerity Or Penance, A Poetic Value In Itself. On The Other Hand, It Is Also A Testament To The Inner Strength Of Hindi And Alok Dhanwa Himself That, Despite Not Appearing In Any Collection, Poems Like Janata Ka Aadmi, Goli Daago Poster, Bhagi Hui Ladkiyaan, And Bruno Ki Betiyan Have Become Timeless Among Hindi Poetry And Its Connoisseurs, Paralleling The Poetic Presence Of Muktibodh, Nagarjun, Raghuvir Sahay, And Chandrakant Devtale. The 1970S Were A Period When Alok DhanwaS Works, Filled With Anger And Rebellion, Were Memorized By Many Poets And Listeners And Were Considered A Creative Contribution To The Revolutionary Movement Of That Time. The Extent To Which Such Poems By Alok Dhanwa Have Influenced Hindi Poets And Poetry Remains To Be Properly Evaluated. It Is Difficult To Even Ascertain What Forms They May Have Taken Upon Entering The Minds Of Listeners And Readers. Poet And Critic Could Have Spent The Rest Of Their Lives On These Highly Influential And Popular Early Worksmany Writers Are Living Off Thembut His Creative Genius Was Not Content With This, And Instead, In A Completely Unobtrusive Way, It Was Developing In A Highly Interesting, Surprising, And Far-Reaching Way. The Human Values That Were At The Core Of His Early Explosive Poems Became Refined And Nuanced, Culminating In Poignant Works Like Kisne Bachaya Meri Atma Ko, Ek Zamane Ki Kavita, Kapde Ke Joote, And Bhookha Bachcha. Although Alok Dhanva Is One Of The Few Hindi Poets Whose Poetic Vision And Expression Remain Eternally Youthful (And Therefore, He Remains A Respected And Role Model For Younger Poets), He Has Gradually, Almost Imperceptibly, Attained A Maturity That Is Not Artificial Or Artificial, And Is Distinct From The Posture Of Old Age. To Witness Simultaneous Continuity And Evolution, Simplicity And Complexity, Freshness And Maturity In Subject Matter, Craft, Style, And Trends, It Would Be Interesting To Read Girls On The Rooftops, Runaway Girls, And BrunoS Daughters, In This Order. These Depict Not Only The Tender And Tragic Stages Of The Lives Of Indian Adolescent Girls And Women, But Also Clearly Reveal The Progressive Phases Of Alok DhanwaS Poetic Life And Poetic Consciousness. MuktibodhS Conscious Creative Pledge To Take All Risks In Expression, Which Some Poets And Most Critics Have Reduced To A Clich Of One-Sided Adventurism, Alok Dhanwa Has, In All Its Meanings, Recognized As True And Decided To Transcend His Earlier Poems. For A Poet, The Greatest Risk Of Expression Lies In Moving Forward Or Away From His Own Past Image. He Does So Not As Part Of A Plan Or Program, But Rather Because Of The Life He Has Lived And Observed And His Understanding Of That Life. When The Poet Of Shoot The Poster And PeopleS Man Speaks Of A Crushing Helplessness, A Hope That Feels Like Suffering, And A Loneliness, A Tension That Makes One Want To Cry But DoesnT, ItS Not Misery Or Escape, But An Acceptance Of Belonging To A Vast Humanity, For Without Experiencing Such Suffering, No Change Is Possible. Because This Realization Lies At The Heart Of The Struggle-Filled Desire To Remake This World. Alok Dhanva Began In The Tradition Of Nagarjuna, And Where He Stands Today Seems To Be A Blend Of Nagarjuna And Shamsher Bahadur Singh, Which He Has Cultivated For Himself, Mindful Of The Different Fecundities Of Both Elders, According To His Own Time And Poetic Understanding. Alok Dhanva Always Possessed A Global And Indian Perspective, But Gradually It Also Extended To The Wider Realities Surrounding Him. We Can Say That If Earlier He Was Merely A Poet Of Overview, Now His Gaze Extends To Objects And Details, And Through Them He Reaches A Deeper Sense Of Being Human And Individual, And Embodies Them In His Poetry. His Poetic World Now Encompasses Not Only Humans And Human Concerns, But Also Trees, Trails, Kites, Water, Roads, Nights, Sunsets, Winds, Bees, Birds, The Sea, Stars, And The Moon. From Trails, Squares, And Railway Junctions, He Reaches The Private And Public Worlds. He Searches For The Sources Of His Sensitivity And Creativity By Delving Into Memories In The Light Of Theaters, Matinees, And His First Film. The Sound Of The Sea, For Him, Is Not A Mysterious, Eternal, But One Of Movement And Depth. There Is No Room For Over-Expression, And He Avoids Even The Most Induced Emotional Excess In His Poems. Alok Dhanva Has Achieved A Language And A Refined Expression In Which All The Excess And Unnecessary Has Been Peeled Away, Resulting In Lines With A Classical Flavour Like Autumn Nights/So Light And Open/As If There Were Entire Evenings Till Morning/As If The Nights Of These Evenings Would Be/In Some Other Season Or The Sea Took Me Away That Afternoon/When I Did Not Even Know How To Call/When Crying Was The Only Way To Call. It Is Not Without Reason That The Poet Mentions Mir. Alok Dhanva Was And Remains A Poet Of What Is Happening, But Now He Is Also An Spokesperson For That Whose Happening Is Not Generally Accepted Or Recognized. He Hopes That A
