Nach sechs Jahren Krieg und Gefangenschaft in Sibirien arbeitete er 1949 wieder als Bcker und wechselte 1954 zur Ruhrkohle AG. 1986 trat er in den Ruhestand. Er ist glcklich verheiratet und hat zwei Enkeltchter.
