The aim of the book is to give an uptodate review of rotor dynamics, dealing with basic topics as well as a number of specialized topics usually available only in journal articles. Part I deals with the classical topics of rotor dynamics, the dynamic behavior of linear, steady state rotating machines; simple models as well systems with many degrees of freedom obtained from finite element models.
