The aim of the book is to give an uptodate review of rotor dynamics, dealing with basic topics as well as a number of specialized topics usually available only in journal articles. Part I deals with the classical topics of rotor dynamics, the dynamic behavior of linear, steady state rotating machines; simple models as well systems with many degrees of freedom obtained from finite element models. Part II, advanced rotor dynamics deals with some specialized topics on rotors, bearings, discs and blades.
