Electricity transmission and distribution (T&D) networks carry electricity from generation sites to demand sites. With the increasing penetration of decentralised and renewable energy systems, in particular variable power sources such as wind turbines, and the rise in demandside technologies, the importance of innovative products has never been greater. Ecodesign approaches and standards in this field are aimed at improving the performance as well as the overall sustainability of T&D network equipment. This multidisciplinary reference provides coverage of developments and lessonslearned in the fields of ecodesign of innovation from productspecific issues to system approaches, including case studies featuring problemsolving methodologies applicable to electricity transmission and distribution networks. Discusses key environmental issues and methodologies for ecodesign, and applies this to development of equipment for electricity transmission and distribution. Provides analysis of using and assessing advanced equipment for wind energy systems. Includes reviews of the energy infrastructure for demandside management in the US and Scandinavia.

I picked up this book from Woodhead Publishing for my studies in energy distribution, and it’s been a fantastic resource. The insights into electricity transmission were really well detailed. The writing is clear and engaging, making complex topics more digestible. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the field!

Disappointed with the Condition of the Book
I ordered this book on electricity transmission and it arrived with some pages damaged, which was really frustrating. The content seems interesting, but I haven’t been able to dive in fully with the condition it's in. I hope to get a replacement soon!

A Good Overview but Lacks Depth
This book on electricity transmission networks has some valuable information. However, I was hoping for a bit more technical depth in certain areas. It’s quite readable, so it’s great for newcomers, but as an experienced engineer, I found it didn’t quite cover advanced topics I was looking for.
