Un nuevo diseo curricular para educacin infantil en Venezuela, significa formacin y decisin, por parte del docente del nivel, a quien le corresponde llevarlo a la prctica. sta tarea implica procesos de comprensin del contenido, que lo aproximan a la investigacin permanente para avanzar hacia niveles de calidad educativa. Este trabajo tiene como propsito develar el dominio conceptual de los docentes de Educacin Infantil, acerca del diseo curricular y la relacin con la calidad de su praxis didctica. En los resultados se concluye un conjunto de indicadores importantes, producto del anlisis de las variables en estudio. Esta publicacin representa una muestra de lo que ocurre en el interior de las aulas infantiles, haciendo eco de las voces de los docentes, quienes se merecen la participacin y colaboracin de todos. Aqu, se considera que la calidad en la didctica de Educacin Infantil, requiere ser asumida de manera cientfica, como una alternativa que compromete al docente en la toma de decisiones acerca de su propia praxis, con actitud de indagacin, reflexin crtica y socializacin de experiencias.
