About the Author Marianne Menges wurde 1935 in Knigsberg/Pr. geboren. Whrend des Krieges wuchs sie von ihrem dritten bis zehnten Lebensjahr bei einer Tante auf. Im Winter 1944 flchtete sie mit der Mutter und fand ihre neue Heimat in Hamburg Finkenwerder. Nach dem Gymnasium erlernte sie das Handwerk der Gromutter und des Vaters, den Beruf Fotografie. Nach fnfzig Jahren machte sie den Beruf zu ihrem Hobby und wandte sich der Schriftstellerei zu. Seit dem Jahr 2000 schreibt sie Geschichten, u.a. fr das Journal des Finkenwerder Kulturvereins. Das genaue Beobachten der Menschen durch die Linse hat sie in alle Lebensbereiche gefhrt. Zu Freud und Leid, Trauer und Glck, und allen anderen Facetten des Lebens, so dass ihr Stoff zum Schreiben unerschpflich ist.
