Pdagogische Belange gerieten allzuoft ins Hintertreffen.Mit dieser Problematik setzt sich die Arbeit auseinander: Die Schulbauentwicklung in Deutschland wird beginnend mit dem spten 18. und frhen 19. Jahrhundert anhand von historischen und zeitgenssischen Beispielen erlutert. Neben der architektonischen Entwicklung sind in diesem Zusammenhang die mit ihr einhergehenden pdagogischen und gesellschaftlichen Vernderungen von Bedeutung.
