Ein eigenstndiger rztlicher Leiter in der Notfallaufnahme sowie eine zustndige Pflegdienstleitung dienen dem gesamten Notfallteam als adquate Ansprechpartner und Personalfhrung als auch motivation, sodass sich daraus geregelte Verantwortungen ergeben und eine gewisse Selbststndigkeit und Selbstbestimmung der Notfallambulanz entsteht. Dies steigert langfristig patientenorientiertes Verhalten seitens des Krankenhauses, weil die rzte darauf bedacht sind, mglichst zeitnah eine Behandlungstherapie zu verordnen und den Patienten ein Ansprechpartner zur Verfgung steht. Weil die Patienten sich dadurch erheblich besser und effizienter versorgt fhlen und wissen, dass die Klinik den Patientenbedrfnissen entspricht und auch dem Rettungsdienst die Zuordnung in spezielle Fachambulanzen erspart bleibt, lsst sich nachweislich aussagen, dass sich durch die Implementierung einer interdisziplinren Notfallaufnahme die Fallzahlen statistisch gesehen jhrlich um etwa zehn bis zwanzig Prozent steigern lassen. Hhere Fallzahlen gehen einher mit einer Steigerung des Auslastungsgrades in einer gesamten Klinik und fhren damit zu wesentlichen Umsatzsteigerungen.
