Este trabajo afect profundamente a generaciones posteriores de telogos, filsofos, socilogos, psiclogos, poetas, novelistas y dramaturgos. Nietzsche recibi amplio reconocimiento durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX como una figura significativa en la filosofa moderna. Su influencia fue particularmente notoria en los filsofos existencialistas, crticos, fenomenolgicos, postestructuralistas y postmodernos y en la sociologa de Max Weber.
