Con este estudio se persigue comprender aprendizaje autnomo del Ingls con la mediacin de las Tecnologas de la Informacin y la Comunicacin (TIC) y sus implicaciones en la prctica educativa universitaria, la cual requiere asumir un modelo educativo acorde con los desafos que impone la Sociedad de la Informacin y el Conocimiento en la postmodernidad. Su fundamentacin terica permite al lector ostentar una visin de la realidad desde la perspectiva hermenutica del paradigma interpretativo con una orientacin crtica de la misma. La realidad que se presenta en estas pginas fue creacin de los sujetos interactuantes a travs del lenguaje, siendo el discurso de los actores el vehculo lingstico desde donde se pudieron interpretar sus sentidos y significados. El estudio cobr relevancia al brindar hallazgos significativos sobre la postmodernidad en el mbito educativo, los desafos que se le presentan a la UNEXPO como parte del Subsistema Venezolano de Educacin Universitaria, as como las transformaciones que deben llevarse a cabo para lograr que los estudiantes desarrollen un aprendizaje autnomo en sus procesos de conocimiento de la Asignatura Ingls.
