La psicologa de la personalidad se ha caracterizado por enfocarse en aspectos aislados de los individuos. Esta tendencia analtica se produce en parte por la influencia de un modelo de ciencia positivista. La propuesta que se estudia en el presente texto, busca establecer una idea de personalidad ms completa que pueda servir para ampliar nuestra comprensin sobre este tema tan fundamental en el mbito de la psicologa. Para dicho fin, la teora se estructura sobre una lnea dialctica de pensamiento. La perspectiva dialctica recorre todo el trayecto de la historia de la filosofa, desde sus orgenes griegos hasta la gran sntesis realizada por Hegel. Sntesis que luego ser reconducida por el pensamiento marxista hacia un horizonte dialctico materialista. El presente texto busca exponer como las fuentes dialcticas de pensamiento estructuran la teora informacional de la personalidad.
