El dolmen de Azutn es una de las ms espectaculares arquitecturas megalticas de todo el interior peninsular. Las primeras excavaciones dejaron al descubierto una gran cmara de cinco metros de dimetro con corredor y un enorme tmulo muy bien conservado, que contribuye a destacar el volumen de la sepultura datada por CI4 a partir del V milenio cal BC. Las recientes investigaciones certifican la antigedad de la magnfica construccin, su uso continuado hasta el III milenio cal BC, la profusin de su decoracin y la realidad de un doblamiento anexo. Habitat y contextos funerarios configuran un espacio multifuncional en el que los ancestros actan como el elemento aglutinador. Es la posicin de los enterramientos la que indica la situacin de los grupos en los territorios utilizados por las culturas productoras desde el Neoltico Medio en adelante.
