La incidencia del Embarazo Ectpico se ha multiplicado mundialmente en las ltimas dcadas, incluyendo a Cuba, causando morbimortalidad en mujeres jvenes constituyendo un problema investigacin. OBJETIVO GENERAL: Se propone una estrategia de intervencin educativa para elevar el conocimiento sobre el Embarazo Ectpico, en la Atencin Primaria de Salud (APS).METODOLOGA: Se realiz estudio prospectivo descriptivo durante los aos 2004 al 2007, de las pacientes ingresadas con sospecha de Embarazo Ectpico, en el Hospital Docente Provincial Ginecobsttrico de Matanzas, para determinar el comportamiento de la entidad a travs de variables operacionalizadas como: edad, formas clnicas y tratamiento, entre otras; en las pacientes que cumplan con los criterios de inclusin; los datos se procesaron utilizando el paquete estadstico SPSS para Windows Versin 11.5. RESULTADOS: La incidencia del EE se elev hasta 34,2 por mil nacidos vivos, siendo ms alta en el grupo de 2534 aos (54.8%), el 80.3% se diagnostic tardamente con predominio de la forma clnica complicada (59%), lo que motiv el 87.2% de salpingectomas realizadas.
